Beyond Disability helps housebound disabled adults and wheelchair school children and requires your generosity to keep going. Our amazing volunteers have contributed well over 100,000 unpaid volunteer hours helping in-home. The $/commitment equates to in excess of $2.0 Million returned to our community, for which we are very grateful. A bit of your time goes a long way.
To become a Volunteer, all you need is a car, patience and some very basic computer skills. Do not be frightened of the word computer, we will teach you all computer skills you need. We provide a complete training package to our new volunteers and buddy-up with an experienced volunteer, plus you receive a volunteer induction manual.
You will also have the personal benefit of being able to learn how to maintain a computer free and learn job skills - building interpersonal relationships and teaching people. You might even be able to help us develop our training courses for our new volunteers. You can help housebound disabled to communicate from home. You can help to grow the Beyond Disability community program and develop your own skills along the way.
